Yawalkar Academy 🎓
Prof. S S Yawalkar started working as a lecturer in PWS college and was an assistant teacher with Jain Sir, a renowned commerce faculty of that time, at Awasthi Bhavan Opp. Present address of Yawalkar’s Office.
Because of the untimely and sudden death of Jain Sir, Prof. S S Yawalkar took responsibility for Jain Sir’s incomplete work, i.e., to complete the syllabus of his students.
From this point, Yawalkar Sir’s journey of become one of the most famous faculty members in commerce
In 1972, he started his own coaching centre, which he named “Yawalkar’s Vijay Study Centre” with the aim of making commerce studies enjoyable and simple.

He taught many students who are now Politicians, big business owners of Nagpur, and many underprivileged students also, who are now leading their lives in a successful way.

From 1973 to 2001, he taught thousands of students few of His students are Mrs. Amrita Fadnavis, Mr. Sagar Meghe, Mr. Navneet Singh Tuli, Mr. Anis Ahmed, Mr. Mickey of Center Point Hotel, Mr. Great Tuli of Tuli International Hotel, Mr. Kamal Agarwal of Haldiram, Mr. Samar Das, and Mr Tonmoy Das of Ananda Bhandar, and many many more.
Our Story
In the year 2001, his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sudipta Yawalkar, and his son, Mr. Vijay Yawalkar, both were his students, joined him to continue the legacy of teaching and started working in Yawalkar’s Vijay Study Centre as faculty of commerce. After retirement from PWS college in the year 2005, he stopped teaching at Yawalkar’s institute. From here, his son and his daughter-in-law took the responsibility of the institute and took the institute to a new high.
Though the institute was started for the commerce faculty only but his son and daughter-in-law extended it and started teaching students from 5th standard to 10th standard of CBSE and Maharashtra state board also
Mrs. Sudipta and Mr. Vijay Yawalkar started Anushka Publishers and started publishing study material for the students of Nagpur University.
In 2015, the institute also started teaching and training in computer courses and Tally, a widely used accounting package
From 2023, Yawalkar's Vijay Study Centre started training in AI and ML in association with and under the guidance of Yantra Institute of Technology and Management, Unit of Yantra India Limited, A Government of India enterprise, Ministry of Defence.
